1. Best Response

Governor: “Oh my …. That’s the best soup I’ve ever tasted”

Lewis: “You’re right … it’s delicious”

This is the best response that a player can have when they add the finest-quality materials to the Potluck soup. These include iridium and gold-quality items, high-value ingredients and artisan goods.  Some of the items you can put in the soup to ensure this response include:

  • Apple wine
  • Ancient fruit wine
  • Banana wine
  • Beer
  • Pineapple and pineapple wine
  • Smoked stonefish
  • Large milk
  • Son of Crimsonfish
  • Goat milk/cheese

2. Good Response

Governor: “Ah…. That’s a very pleasant soup. The produce from this valley never disappoints!”

Lewis: “Mmmm…. Tasty. You all did very well today.”

Adding common goods, silver and gold-quality items gives you a good response. You gain 60 Friendship points when you get this response from the Governor. Some of the items to add to the soup to get a good response include:

  • Apple
  • Dried mushroom
  • Golden egg
  • Smoked crab

  • Red mullet
  • Tuna
  • Red cabbage
  • Potato
  • Spice berry/spice berry wine

3. Natural Response

Governor: “Hmmmmmm……I don’t have much to say about this. It’s an average soup.”

Lewis: “He’s right … It’s nothing special. Not bad, though.”

This response shows that the governor is neither happy nor upset about the soup. Getting this response does not gain or make you lose any points. Following are some of the items that adding to the Luau soup will result in this response:

Lewis: “Yuck. Someone must have ruined it with a poor-quality ingredient.”

Undoubtedly, the Governor is not satisfied with the soup. Adding poor quality items or items of the silver-tier items results in the soup being bland and disgusting. A bad response from the Governor results in a loss of 50 Friendship points. Some of the items that do this are:

  • Blackberry
  • Anchovy
  • Green algae
  • Umilled rice
  • Sweet pea
  • Spring onion juice

Governor: “Blech! This is vile! I think I’m going to be sick…..I need to lie down”

Lewis: “Good going, people … Whoever put that foul ingredient in the soup made the Governor pass out! I’m ashamed”

This is the response that the Governor and Lewis will give if there is something very distasteful in the soup. These are the items that make you lose a lot of health at once. You will immediately lose 100 Friendship points with all the villagers who are attending if this occurs. These ingredients include:

Lewis: “You’re right … It’s a little bland”

If a player does not add any ingredient to the soup, you will get this response. The player will not gain or lose any points in this situation. If you are playing in multiplayer mode, everyone needs to add something to the Luau soup, otherwise everyone will get this response.

7. Secret Response

You get a secret response when you add Mayor Lewis’ lost purple shorts to the Luau soup. However, this will not result in any points gained or lost.
